At Shamrock Kennels we pride ourselves in our effort to build a steady reputation since the early "90's". Along with a good running ability we also breed for conformation. Our Beagles are active, lively and extremely intelligent. They are resilient and hardy, and possess great stamina, determination and a definite mind of their own.

Our Beagles have a short, dense weatherproof coat which comes in many attractive colors, though most are tri-colored. Our Beagles require very little grooming, and tend to keep themselves extremely clean.

The bloodlines of our Hounds mainly consist of FC Del Ray Stubby, FC Powerline Hank, FC William's Pointline Buddy, FC Canoe Creek Burt, FC S and S Poison Pete, FC Twin Pine's Jed among others. Our Beagles are from both the 13" and the 15" variety. However, most average 13" and under. Shamrock Hounds belong to the AKC (American Kennel Club), UKC (United Kennel Club), ARHA (American Rabbit Hound Association) and the CKC (Continental Kennel Club) registries.

Beagles are a small, pack oriented hunting hound. Their natural instinct is to hunt. However, they are highly adaptable and adjust happily to the suburban way of life. Living on a farm, we provide our hounds with both a hunting atmosphere and a play yard. Our Beagles are definitely at home in our country setting. While most of our Beagles are active hunters, some are best suited solely as a loving family companion.

Our Beagles are good natured and steady in temperament. They have long been our reliable, loyal and trusted companions. These personality-plus little hounds have a very engaging demeanor which makes them ideal for children and adults alike.

These "merry little hounds with the largest of hearts" have something to offer just about anyone!
