Shamrock Kennels has only one or two carefully planned litters a year. Our pups are
bred from mentally and genetically sound parents. Our primary goal is to improve the
integrity of the breed, as well as to preserve the Golden breed. Our pups are bred
within the adherence to the breed standard and are bred for beauty and intelligence
as well as for structural soundness.

To ensure our pups are born with a strong genetic background prior to breeding, we
perform the following genetic health screenings on all of our parents:
1.) All dogs in our breeding program have their hip x-rays submitted to the
Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for reviews by the OFA's panel of board
certified radiologist, and their hips are then registered to be free of genetic
hip dysplasia.
2.) Our breeding dogs have their hearts examined by a board certified veterinary
cardiologist and are certified to be free or hereditary sub-aortic stenosis (SAS).
3.) Our dogs undergo an annual eye exam performed by a board certified veterinary
ophthalmologist to rule out hereditary eye disorders, as per the exam procedure recommended
by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF).

To get our puppies off to a great start, both mentally and physically, they are
raised in our home where they receive lots of individual love and attention from
adults, as well as children. Our dogs are companions, first and foremost, and have a
wonderful, fun loving temperament that is well known to the Golden Breed. This only helps to
enable them to become a well-loved family member. Because most of our Goldens come from
an extensive show background, their pups will have that "pleasing to the eye" appeal of a show dog.

Though some are bound for the competition in the world of Field and Show, most will be sold as family companions on limited AKC registration.
They will be eligible to take part in
AKC sanctioned events such as Agility, Obedience, Tracking and Field Retrieving Events.

While it saddens us to bid them farewell, it is truly our best wish that they become
a fundamental part of their new family, and to all the lives they may touch. Our hopes
are that they can bring the same joy and happiness into the lives of these families,
as their parents have brought to us. We hope that our puppies will experience the same
kindness, love and devotion that we have shown their parents through the years, as well.

Our pups are sold with a written health guarantee. In addition, they will have been
wormed 4 times and will have received their first set of vaccinations. They will have
a veterinarian's certificate of health. They will go into their new homes with
a "Puppy Starter Kit," as well as Clearance Information on the parents.
